Comparing the three month period May 2010 to July 2010 with the same period last year, there has been a 12.9 per cent, or 454 offences per month, reduction in overall crime. (Bydd cyfieithiad Cymraeg ar gael yn fuan) Mwy o fanylion
Crime levels have reduced in almost every category.
Vehicle crime has decreased significantly, by 16.8 per cent, or 60 offences per month on average.
Violence is also considerably reduced, by 16 per cent exactly, or an average of 109 crimes per month.
Burglary, which causes great concern among local communities, has reduced by almost 13 per cent, or 62 offences per month.
Anti social behaviour, another area of concern for local people, is down by 1.4 per cent, or 43 offences per month.
The only crime category to see an increase has been robbery, which is up by 24 per cent. However, this is a relatively rare crime and this equates to just four additional offences per month on average.
Work will continue, with partner agencies, to reduce overall crime still further in the county in the coming month.
